If you ask me, this is one of the best fitness equipment I have ever bought. A very solidly built unit which I comfortably put together in my garage. All the holes are lined up well here, and there are no missing parts or screws.
Some advice if you are assembling the unit alone; spend some time on step 3 of directions as it deserves all your attention. Try adjusting their directions by putting the base together first, and then the sides. However I advise not tightening things down till you put everything together as some pieces need extra wiggling while assembling.
I like the fact that the rack is sturdy and has a bar to hold down your legs while doing lat pulldowns. I found some reviews with lat pulldown issues; I think this can be rectified by installing bushings on the top and bottom of the sliding mechanism holding weights. If you don’t have them, just call the company and they will send them asap.
I recommend using some accessories with the unit like some ab straps and a tricep rope. Regarding the bench, I suggest using either the Ironmaster Super Bench or the Fitness Gear adjustable from Dick’s sporting goods as they both are sturdy enough to hold heavy weights. If you use Olympic weights, buy some Olympic adapters which are thick enough to be clamped and attached on.
Once assembled, the unit is 7 feet tall, which is why my 6’7” frame fit comfortably in it! However make sure you have a little more space for your head while doing pull-ups. In a nutshell, this is a great rack to buy at such a reasonable rate. When not in use, you can always use the rack as a weight rack. Definitely recommend it to anyone!Google+
